What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique based on energetic principles for stress reduction and relaxation that is widely practiced around the world. Reiki works by enhancing one’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. This method of healing uses life force energy (Prana) to balance the body and the mind, and its benefits can be felt by both Reiki practitioners and their clients. Reiki improves many aspects of life, from physical health to emotional well-being to stress reduction and mental clarity. Reiki is used to heal the mind, body and spirit.
Reiki is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that Prana flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s Prana is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
